Leading the interpreting profession, serving the interpreting community, connecting to the Deaf community.

Hello, I am Kris Courson.  I’m currently serving as Treasurer.  I assumed this role after the previous Treasurer had moved out of state.  Last year Chris asked if I would accept, but I wasn’t able to fully assume responsibility until this past February.

Since February, I have reviewed the books.  Everything has been handwritten, which is fine, but can be challenging to automatically compile reports.  It has been a challenge transferring everything from the past two years, but everything is transferred and balanced.

I was asked again if I would serve another term.  As I have already done a bulk of the work transferring everything, I am willing to serve another term if elected.  I am originally from Texas but have lived in the Birmingham area since 2012.  I run my own interpreting agency and primarily serve central and north Alabama and a little in the south.

I am married and have four grown children, the youngest still in college.  I look forward to the possibility of continuing to serve with you.

Thank you.
