Join us Thursday, May 4 for a fun team building workshop, using pottery to paint your item of choice to be able to use. This is an Interpreter Appreciation Workshop!

The goal of the workshop is to foster awareness of team spirit and reinforce the team's shared goals and objectives as Interpreters working within the Deaf Community, We want to develop a strong team who encourage shared commitment, core values, trust, and mutual respect. 


The deadline to register is April 13, 2023. No refunds unless workshop is cancelled. Minimum of 4 and maximum of 40. If we do not have 4 registered by the deadline, the workshop will be cancelled and registration fees will be refunded.

Items will have to be glazed and will not be ready to take home the day of the event. You will have to go back and pick up the item about 3 weeks after the workshop or you can arrange pickup through another person who attended the workshop. 

Presenter Bio:

Daniella Lesley

Daniella Lesley is a CODA with several other Deaf family members. She graduated in 2018 from Troy University with a Bachelor's degree in Interpreting and more recently graduated in 2021 with a Master's degree in Master of Science in Management with a focus in Leadership. She started working professionally as an interpreter in August of 2015. She went on to take the NIC and passed it in May of 2018. She currently works as a full-time staff interpreter at Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, Mobile Regional Center. She also works for Sorenson Communications. She serves on the ALRID board as the Southwest Region Representative as well. Dani lives in Mobile with her husband, 3 wonderful children and 2 fur babies. She is excited to see what the next few years will bring for ALRID and cannot wait to see what workshops ALRID will have!

This is for Interpreters, Members of the Deaf Community, and ITP Students.

ALRID is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for Continuing Education Activities. This Professional Studies program is offered for 0.2 CEUs at the "some" Content Knowledge Level.
