FOR THE DEAF
This online workshop aims to discuss the racial dynamic of interpreting in an unfamiliar territory and the grave issue facing America - the lack of culturally competent interpreters. The workshop will offer different framing around racism, culture, diversity, and competency, and give guidance on navigating. It will also focus on topics from the CPC and RID's training and also highlight what a Culturally Competent Interpreter agency looks like.
This workshop will be presented in ASL and will not be recorded. The Zoom information will be made available to all participants before the workshop.
